Everything effects on our society and every society give response to criminal act and legal system which is controlled and run by several organ of the government are responsible to curb the criminal environment so, that the welfare of nation and peaceful prevail. Here I discuss the impact of drug on youth .it has burgeoned into a major problem faced by our nation today.
In the 2004 according to the survey estimated that about 7.32 crore persons in india were users of alcohol or drug .
One’s teen are the time when the youth are filled with invincible valour to do something extraordinary with their lives. But, when their aspirations meet the restrictions that come with family pressure to stick to a norm, they tend to get disobedient. Such kids, when exposed to a little freedom, often take recourse to drug and alcohol as a means of release their anger or energy.
Drug addiction is a chronic brain disease that cause physical and psychological craving for mind-altering substance, Drug addiction is a complex neurobiological disease that requires integrated treatment of the mind ,body ,and spirit.it is considered as a brain disease because it change brain structure and how its works. The initial decision to take drug is voluntary for most people ,but repeated drugs use can lead to brain changes that challenging an addicted person self control and interfere with their ability to resist intense urge to take drug. As the drug epidemic continues to painstakingly seep into the country social and cultural aspect, drug abuse naturally trickles into our youngster generation .making up one-fifth of the population,15-24 years old carry with them India’s future.The youth of our nation will eventually determine the country moral ,political,and social persuasions.
Types of Drugs: Drug addiction is not about just heroin,nicotine ,opioid painkiller and other legal substance its also include BATH SALT,LSD,WHITENER,IODEX,MUSHROOMS,PCP AND SO ON.
Prescription drugs which can be obtained legally are also used by all age groups for non-medical reason ,often in combination with alcohol .The risk of drug interaction or accidental overdose can be deadly.
Causes of Addiction: A combination of factor influences risk for addiction. Change in brain that support physical and psychological dependency on mind –altering substance are the direct cause of addiction ,but those change does not occur at random. For example: Biology, Family history, webseries, cinemas, problem at school or work, Mental disorder, Development, Money issues, Early age of initial usage, peer pressure, Early drug use ,Physical health issue, Troubled relationship and etc.
Environment also play a important role in cause of addiction because A person environment includes many different influences ,from friends and family to economic status and general equality of life.
Mass media also causes of drug addiction because our mass entertainment medium portrayed alcoholism in a very Glamorous light ,influencing young mind with a wrong notion of “Being cool”. Also a huge number of youth are travelling abroad for work . Expensive alcohol and drugs are often seen as a social symbol of status ,thus addiction and degradation of moral values.
Disadvantages : some disadvantages are given below:
1. Heart rate irregulate, heart attack

5. Brain damage
6. Insomnia and sleep disturbance
7. Hanges in appetite
8. Respiratory problems
9. Lungs cancer
10. Contraction of HIV
If you think your teen is using drug stat by talking with your family health care provider. Drug addiction is a destroyers of hopes,dreams,and lives but with inpatient treatment plus a comprehensive aftercare program drug addicts can find lasting relief from the ravages of chemical dependency ,regardless of how long they have been addicted . The drug use and addiction are preventable. Teacher, parents, healthcare provider have crucial role in educating young people and preventing drug use and addiction.
